Srinagar, Apr 6: Police in Baramulla today booked two persons under the Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Authorities said that the individuals, namely Abdul Rashid Sheikh, son of Ali Mohd, resident of Lalpora Kharkhal Kunzer, and Mohd Akbar Malik, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Lalpora Wanikhal Kunzer, have been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur.
Many cases are registered against these individuals, who were involved in disturbances of law and order and subversion, the police said.
“Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their anti-national & anti-social activities.”
