KATHUA, June 14: Two motorcycle borne youth were killed in a tragic road accident at Parliawand, Kathua today when their bike and a van were hit by a mini bus No JK02AH 1451 which was coming from opposite direction. The accident took place when two persons identified as Manu Lal, S/o Raghubir Lal, of Ward 10 and Sandeep Kumar, S/o Tula Ram, R/o Ward 10 , Kathua were returning to their home on bike bearing Registration No PB35L 1310. They over took a van bearing registration number JK08B3493 which was also plying in the same direction and both bike and van collided with minibus coming from opposite direction with the result the two bikers received serious injuries.
The duo was shifted to Associated Medical College Hospital, Kathua. The doctors started treatment of both injured but they succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. Police has registered a case in this matter. Their bodies were handed over to family members after completing legal formalities and postmortem. Kathua police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
