POONCH, Aug 13: Continuing it’s drive against drug peddlers on anti-drugs front, the Police arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered 24 gms of heroin from their possession.
Those arrested were identified as Aquib Javid, son of Faiz Akbar, resident of Surankote and Sajad Ahmed, son of Muzaffar Hussain, resident of Seri Khawaja, at present Lassana and Sanai areas respectively . The police claimed to have recovered heroin weighing about 12 grams each, making a total of 24 grams from their possession.
The Police team headed by SHO Police Station Surankote, Insp Rajveer Singh, under the supervision of DYSP Surankote, Tanweer Jelani during checking of vehicles at Sanai naka seized the consignment of narcotics and arrested the accused persons.
In this connection Cases vide FIR No. 252, 253 /2022 U/S 8/15/25/27-A NDPS Act were registered at Police Station Surankote and further investigation was taken up.
