RAJOURI, May 22: A team of Thannamandi Police led by SHO Thannamandi Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Thannamandi Dr. Imtiaz Hussain arrested two notorious drug smugglers today.
Official sources said that these two wanted by police and arrested today included – Javed Iqbal Tass, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of village Bhanghai, Thanamandi and Tahir Hussain Shah, son of Faqir Hussain, resident of village Khablan in Thanamandi. Police recovered 3.50 grams of heroin (Chitta) from their possession.
A Wagon-R bearing registration No. DL2CP-6084 was also seized which was used for smuggling of drugs by them. Tahir Hussain Shah was also wanted in some other FIRs, police said.
Police also alleged that Javid has created different fake accounts on the name of girls and he used to send photos of girls to male friends. He was blackmailing people after sending them naked photos and involving them in chats. Both of them are notorious drug smugglers and it’s great success for police to nab them. In this regard case FIR No. 58/2023 U/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered.
