2 notorious narco smugglers apprehended with heroin

JAMMU, May 12: Janipur Police apprehended two notorious narcotics smugglers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Janipur laid a naka and signalled a scooty bearing registration number JK02BB-126 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the rider accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape, but the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle.
During checking, police team recovered 34 grams heroin from the possession of two persons riding on the vehicle and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Banu Jamwal, son of Manjeet Singh of New Plot and Mohit Sudhan, son of Raj Kumar Sudhan, a resident of Ari Mendhar District Poonch.
Both the arrested persons were notorious narcotics smugglers and with their arrest, police achieved a big success to save the lives of youth.
A case under FIR Number 60/2021 under Sections 8/20/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
