2 officers suspended for running private business

Srinagar, Oct 9: Two officers of the Department of Agriculture were today suspended for their alleged involvement in running a private business despite being Government employees.
The suspension order in this regard was issued by Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi which stated that their involvement in running the business is a violation to service conduct rules.
“Pending Inquiry for their involvement in running a private business being the Government servants which is in violation to service conduct rules of 1971, Ghulam Mohammad Masoodi, Subject Matter Specialist (SDL) Khansahib and Syed Ishtaq Hussain Bukhari, Agriculture Extension Assistant Zone Lalpora Sub Division Tangmarg are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and shall remain attached with concerned Chief Agriculture Officers,” reads the order copy.
Meanwhile, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Kashmir has been tasked to conduct the inquiry into the matter. The Inquiry Officer has been asked to submit its report to decide on the further course of action.
