2 officials held for cheating in exam

JAMMU, Aug 4: Two Education Department employees have been arrested for facilitating cheating during class 12th board exam in RS Pura Sub Division.
As per official sources, SDM RS Pura Susheel Sharma and SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary conducted checking in the examination centre at Government Girls Higher Secondary School RS Pura, where exam for the subject of Mathematics of 12th standard was going on.
Two outside teachers, who were facilitating the students in cheating in lieu of money were arrested from the institution and Rs 21,320 were recovered from them, which they had collected from the students for facilitating them in cheating.
The arrested teachers have been identified as Yash Pal (Master) of RS Pura and Ravinder Kumar (Teacher) of Jadeiyan Kalan. They are presently posted at Government High School Rangpur.
A case under FIR Number 170/17 and relevant Sections has been registered against the arrested teachers at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, during checking at GGHSS RS Pura and GBHSS RS Pura, three students were found indulging in cheating and cases have been framed against them through concerned Superintendents of the examination centres.
