Samba police arrests 3 bovine smugglers

Srinagar, Feb 10: Police today arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered 3 kgs of cannabis powder from their possession.
Authorities stated that a police party, led by the Incharge of Police Post Palhallan, intercepted two individuals at a checkpoint established at Tapper near NHW.
The individuals attempted to flee but were tactfully apprehended, police said.
According to the police, the individuals have been identified as Mohammad Aqib Ganie, son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganie, resident of Takiya Tapper, and Jahangir Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie, resident of Rengi.
“During the search, 3 kgs of Cannabis Powder was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody,” police stated.
Consequently, a case under relevant sections of the law has been registered at the Police Station, and an investigation has been initiated.
