UDHAMPUR, July 30: Two persons including a woman were killed and another got injured when a rashly driven Army vehicle crushed them near Omara Morh Udhampur.
The out of control vehicle also hit a passenger bus after crushing the trio.
The deceased were identified as Ashok Kumar Chowhan son of Kishori Lal Chowhan of Nowrang District Sewan, Bihar and Anu Radha wife of Sanjay Sharma of Omara Morh Udhampur.
One injured person namely Anil Anand son of Bodh Raj of Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu was brought to District Hospital by Police rescue team and his condition was stated to be stable.
Acting swiftly police arrested the Army vehicle’s driver whose identity has been established as Ram Vinay Kumar of ASC Batallion.
Meanwhile in another road mishap, three persons got injured when a truck bearing registration number JK02S-2153 collided with a Trawler bearing registration number HR 38-5464 near Kali Mata Temple, Jakhani on NH1A Udhampur. The injured were identified as Sajjad Ahamed son of Usman Khan of Haryana , Ram Din son of Khori of Haryana and Manjeet Singh son of Jagjeet Singh of Subash Nagar Udhampur.
