JAMMU, Oct 26: Two poetry collections of Pyaasa Anjum “Mere Qalam Se” and “Aagaas-e-Sukhan” were released today, here at Abhinav Theatre.
The book release function organised by Jammu Civil Society for Art and Literature was followed by Sham-e-Gazal by Dharmash Nargotra prominent Gazal Singer of the state.
Mohammad Aslam Qureshi (IAS Retd) presided over the function.
Also present were Joint Director Information Department, Manisha Sarin and Secretary Kalakender Jammu Dr Amnrinder Singh Amn.
The speakers acknowledged the books as significant addition in the world of literature. They said that many Gazals carry the tradition of classical era.
They praised the poetry of Pyaasa Anjum and said that his Gazals are treasures.
Meanwhile, Dharmesh Nargotra enthralled the audience by presenting string of Gazals written by Pyaasa Anjum. Nargotra is an approved artist of Doordarshan and Radio and has a Special place in the world of Music.
The proceedings of programme were conducted by Mohammad Hussain Zargar.
