REASI, June 24: Reasi Police has arrested two of three alleged rapists, who are accused of committing gang rape of a widow.
According to Police, the victim lodged a written complaint at Reasi Police Station that she was gang raped by Awed alias Adi, Danish and Shabir Ahmed, all resident of Reasi, on June 16 and the accused also threatened her for life.
In this connection, Police registered FIR no- 104/2015 under Section 376,342,323,506 RPC and arrested Awed and Shabir Ahmed while Danish was still evading arrest.
Meanwhile, continuing its drive against illicit liquor, a Police party, led by Incharge PP Dera Baba, ASI Chajju Ram, apprehended a bootlegger and seized 50 poly pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The arrested bootlegger was identified as Mohd Iqbal of Mansoo. A case has been registered in this connection.
