Srinagar, Oct 12: Two youth from Sopore who had gone missing from their homes last month were arrested by police in Hazratbal area of Srinagar this evening.
The duo Sahil Ahmed Malla and Tawheed Ahmed Bhat had gone missing and after that families had appealed the public to help them to trace their sons.
Aged 20 and 24, Malla and Bhat had gone missing from home on 25th September. They had joined militancy.
Meanwhile, National Investigating Agency today arrested a Budgam resident in connection with Hizbul Mujahideen commander Naveed Babu case.
The accused Tafazul Hussain, a resident of Peerbagh area of Budgam district was arrested in connection with the case.
An official said that he is accused of playing a key role in supplying arms and ammunition to accused Tariq Mir, ex-Sarpanch, Maldera, Shopian, who further supplied them to HM militants in Shopian.”
The NIA had also carried out a raid recently at the residence of Budgam man, but the accused, according to the officials, was not present at his home.
