JAMMU, Dec 13: On the directions of the Chief Justice of State High Court, Justice M M Kumar, an elevator was thrown open for the physically challenged people. The  elevator was inaugurated by two specially-abled advocates namely Suraj Singh and Rajeev Bhushan Sharma.
On the occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu, Kartar Singh stressed the need of more such elevators so as to facilitate movement of physically challenged and disabled litigants, who generally had been facing lot of hardships in reaching to the court rooms.
He also stressed upon the JKPCC authorities to ensure round the clock power supply and backup to the elevator so that people can make maximum use of such elevator.
Several Presiding Officers of Subordinate Courts, Vice-President of Bar Association Jammu Advocate Sindhu Sharma and Secretary R S Jamwal were present on the occasion.
