JAMMU, June 10: SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir Malik today ordered disengagement of two Special Police Officers (SPOs) from the services for facilitating bovine smuggling in Bhaderwah area.
Malik told the Excelsior that a secret enquiry was conducted against the SPOs after reports were received that they were engaged in facilitating move of bovine smugglers in lieu of hefty cash.
Based on the enquiry, which confirmed their nexus with bovine smugglers, both the SPOs were disengaged, Malik said.
They have been identified as Manoj Kumar and Mohammad Azad.
