Srinagar, July 6 : Two paramilitary Sashastra Suraksha Bal (SSB) personnel were killed in a fratricidal incident in Kulgam district of south Kashmir this evening.
An official said that there was some altercation between ASI Sandeep Kumar and constable Hemant Sharma of SSB 49 battalion posted at the main gate of the Police Control Room Kulgam.
A police officer said that constable Himmant lost his cool and fired at ASI Kumar with his INSAS service rifle killing him on the spot and later committed suicide by firing at himself.
The incident took place at their place of posting in Kulgam. Police have registered a case and investigation have been launched into the incident.
