Srinagar, Oct 12: Two samples of suspected Monkeypox cases from the Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have come out negative. Block Medical Officer Boniyar Dr. Parvaiz Masoodi shared the details of the samples that were sent to SKIMS, Soura for testing and confirmation.
“Both the samples that were sent to confirmation have come out negative for monkeypox,” he said
Out of the two samples, one was of an 11-year-old female and a 22-year-old male from Dazna, Lachipora in Boniyar of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Following the detection of the suspected cases, the authorities had isolated both of them while as necessary awareness drives were also started.
