POONCH, July 14: The police arrested two thieves and recovered Rs 26,000 stolen cash and some goods from their possession in Poonch area today.
Reports said on the written complaint of Sanjay Kumar son of Baldev Raj, resident of Ward No 3, Poonch at Police Station Poonch on May 25, mentioning that two thieves namely Mukhtar Ahmed, son of Late Mohd Rafiq, resident of Ward No 1 Poonch and Kouser Khan, son of Yousuf Khan, resident of Ward No. 2 Poonch entered into his shop as customer and when his father went to bring some goods from another room the thieves took the advantage and took away his cash bag from the shop containing Rs 53000.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 101/2022 was registered and investigation started. The police team led by PSI Rahul after hectic efforts arrested both the accused persons and recovered Rs 26000 from them. Rest of the amount is yet to be recovered.
