THANE, Aug 19: At least three people, including two TV actors, died on the spot when their car travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai skidded off the road due to heavy rains and crashed onto a container truck parked at the roadside today.
The accident occurred this morning at around 1000 hours when the car went around 20 feet out of the road and rammed into the stationery container.
There was heavy downpour at the time of incident since early morning in the district, Palghar police said. The impact of the accident was so severe that the three occupants in the car died on the spot. The Manor police are probing into the case and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
Of the three, two have been identified as Gagan Kang (38) of Goregaon in Mumbai, who was on the wheels, and Arjit Lavania (30) from Thane. The identity of the third person is yet to be ascertained. They all were returning from shooting, it was stated.
Gagan played the role of Devraj Indra and Arjit was seen as Nandi in ‘Mahakali’, produced by Swastik Productions. (UNI)
