2 vehicle lifters arrested

JAMMU, June 8: Miran Sahib police under Operation Chetak arrested two vehicle lifters and recovered one stolen motorcycle from their possession.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged by Vikas Verma, son of Vijay Kumar of Krishna Nagar with police station Miran Sahib stating that some unidentified persons had stolen his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AR-3714 which he had parked in front of his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR number 84/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at police station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, many suspects were rounded up and raids were conducted to recover the vehicle.
A team from police station Miran Sahib finally succeeded in arresting the thieves, who have been identified as Aman Chargal alias Mintu, son of Satpal Chargal of Gazian tehsil RS Pura and Mohammad Mansha, son of Mohammad Mirza Choudhary of Marallian tehsil RS Pura. On their disclosure, the above said stolen vehicle was recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft case.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
