POONCH, Oct 16: The police seized two Tata Mobile vehicles near Behramgalla on Mughal Road last night and rescued ten bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir. Two smugglers were also nabbed.
A police spokesman said that police party led by SI Sukhbir Singh under the supervision of SDPO Surankote, Asgar Malik intercepted two vehicle JK06/2907 and JK-12/2971 and found ten bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir in them. The police seized vehicles along with cattle and arrested both the drivers.
They were identified as Nasir Ahmed, son of Mohd Latief and Naseer, son of Ghulam Abbas, both residents of Mendhar. The police registered FIRs 228/229- 2017 against them at Police Station Surankote.
