KISHTWAR, Mar 15: Kishtwar Police has launched a special drive against illegal mining to foil degradation of the river and other nallas of the district which makes them vulnerable to flood, even effecting Eco balance and endangering the habitation located nearby.
In this regard various nakas were established at different locations of Chatroo area, during which Police seized one tipper and one Mahindra vehicle from the spot under jurisdiction of Police Station Chatroo.
The arrested drivers were identified as Nazim Hussain son of Bashir Ahmed of Kurya Pull and Sajid Hussain son of Ab Majid of Kushall. In this connection, two FIRs have been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chatroo.
