JAMMU, May 21: Police here today initiated strict action against criminals involved in illegal mining and minting money from public resources.
In a surprise operation carried out at different locations in Rural Zone of District Jammu, cops took two vehicles in their custody for illegal mining.
Police Station Nagrota took a Dumper bearing registration number JK02DC-1926 in their custody and it was loaded with Nallah Mud and was without Form-A.
Police Post Pouni Chak took a tractor trolley bearing Engine No. C10001827D in their custody and it was loaded with boulders and was without Form A.
After taking these vehicles in custody District Mining Officer was informed for necessary legal actions.
Giving details in this regard SP Rural Jammu conveyed that Jammu Police is committed for protecting the public property and to eradicate the menace of illegal mining in the area.
