POONCH, June 10: The police seized two vehicles and rescued 9 bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road early today.
A police spokesman said that police party led by SI Amrit Katoch, I/C PP Behramgalla under the supervision of SHO Surankote Masoof Ahmed intercepted Tata Mobile vehicles No. JK-11A-0985 and JK11A-0620 and found nine bovine animals loaded in them. They were on way to Kashmir valley.
Three persons were also arrested in this connection. They were identified as Mohd Zabair, son of Jamal Din from Gambir Muglan, Shahzad Sharief, son of Mohd Sharief from Khablan and Mohd Sharief, son of Abdullah from Majakote in district Rajouri. A case FIR No. 114/2015 was registered at Surankote Police Station against them.
