2 woman drug smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, Oct 27: Udhampur Police today arrested two woman drug peddlers, who were selling narcotics in Krimchi Mansar area.
Reliable information was received at Police Station Udhampur that two female drug smugglers who were infamous for drug peddling in Debrah area of Krimchi Udhampur, were selling heroin like narcotic substance among the locals of Krimchi Mansar area. Both the accused women had made the said place a hub of selling heroin narcotic substance every day in the evening time.
A team of Police Station Udhampur, headed by SHO Raghuvir Singh, along with SHO Women Cell Mamta Devi, took cognizance of the information and apprehended both the accused women, identified as Halima, wife of Bashir Ahmed of Dabreh Morh, Udhampur and Nishad, wife of Mohd Rouf of Dabrey Morh.
During their personal search, 10.33 grams of heroin Like substance was recovered from the possession of Halima while one electronic weighing machine and 9.36 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of Nishad Begum.
In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 433/2024 U/S 8/21/2/29 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur and further investigation has been set into the motion.
