MENDHAR, Aug 22: Calling for a need of a mega project to ensure water supply in every household of border villages of Mendhar, Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Rana today announced two major Water Supply Schemes for Gohlad and Gursai area of Mendhar.
He was interacting with a deputations of villagers from different areas of Mendhar who put forth different issues of their areas which primarily include water shortage.
While addressing people on this occasion, the MLA said that two water supply schemes have been sanctioned by Government. “I was pursuing both these projects with concerned quarters and finally got theses sanctioned,” Rana said.
The cost of Water Supply Scheme sanctioned for Gohlad is Rs 4 crore and will benefit Panchayats and areas including Malikpur, Gohlad Sowiyan, Gohlad Chowki, Harila, Dabri Ban, Kota and Lanjiote whereas, the cost of water supply scheme of Gursai is Rs 5 crore and it will benefit areas and Panchayats including Gursai Phamra Nar, Gursai Touni, Gursai Sar, Gursai Harmutta, Gursai Moori, Gursai Prat.
The MLA also said that he has also started an initiative of framing developmental committee in all the areas of Mendhar in which people from all sections of society, ir-respective of party line, will be included.
“The main aim of developmental committees is to include people in developmental process as our aim is over-all development and not development on party line “ Rana added.
