SRINAGAR, July 14: Two youth were drowned while bathing in Jhelum in south Kashmir on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said that Sakib Ahmad Malik, 17 son of Abdul Rehman Malik of Cheek-i-Dar Mattan was drowned while bathing in river Jhelum at Cheeki-e-Dar Simthan, Bijbehara. Efforts are on to retrieve the body.
Meanwhile, Adil Ahmad Kuhchay, 16 son of Mohammad Shafi of Barsoo, Awantipora was drowned in river Jhelum while bathing near Barsoo, Awantipora. The body of Adil was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
