20 bovines rescued

DODA, Oct 17: Dessa Police today arrested a man and rescued 20 bovine animals which he was taking to Kashmir for selling illegally.
“On patrolling in Gutal Dhar (Dessa), a team of Police Station Dessa apprehended one bovine smuggler with 20 bovines which was being taken by him towards Kashmir, without permission of the competent authority,” a police spokesman said.
He said the accused person identified as Ghulam Nabi son of Abdul Samad Malik, resident of Bhart Pul (Doda) was arrested and the bovines were rescued. “In this connection, a case FIR number 15/2022 under relevant section of law was registered at Police Station Dessa and investigation started,” the spokesman added.
