UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Udhampur Police rescued 20 bovines and seized three vehicles used for the smuggling.
Reports said that the Police Post Tikri foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 09 bovines, which were packed a Pickup Truck 407, bearing registration number JK03B-7561. In this regard, case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rehambal and the vehicle was seized.
One more bovine smuggling bid was foiled the Police Post Tikri when seven bovines were rescued from the vehicle bearing registration number JK18D- 2255. In this regard, another case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rehambal and the vehicle was seized.
Earlier, police team of Police Post Roun Domail apprehended one bovine smuggler along with four bovines loaded in a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CV-4484.
Accused person namely Manzoor Hussain, son of Mir Din of Mani, Ramnagar, was arrested. In this regard, FIR number 602/2023 U/S 188 IPCS has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
