20 days judicial remand for Peer

Srinagar, Dec 31: The Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, today sent former chairman of Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) Mushtaq Ahmad Peer, to 20 days judicial remand.
The special judge Anti-Corruption, Mohan Lal Manhas, sent Peer to 20 days judicial custody to Central Jail Srinagar after he was produced before the court by Crime Branch.
The Court after going through case dairies remanded Peer to 20 days judicial custody as the Crime Branch is still investigating the case and lot of data is yet to be collected. The court, however, directed the Investigating Officer of the CB to expedite the investigation process.
The court said that Peer is physically and mentally fit and has directed the Superintendent of Central Jail Srinagar to provide him medical treatment as per the jail manuals.
In the meantime, the Court also sent two more accused Sajjad Ahamed Bhat and Farooq Ahmad Shah to 15 and 20 days judicial remand.
