3 more fatalities in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Nov 13: A 20-year-old youth and two women were among four persons who died of COVID-19 in the Jammu region today while 197 persons tested positive and 187 others recovered from the virus. The Union Territory of Ladakh also reported three more Corona fatalities.
Four Corona casualties and 429 positive cases were reported from Kashmir.
A 20-year-old youth from village Nalla Mallian in Ramnagar tehsil of Udhampur district died of Upper Gastrointestinal Tract bleeding and Coronavirus in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu within a day of his admission in the hospital.
An 85-year-old woman from Ward No. 9 in Udhampur, died of hypertension and COVID-19 in Narayana Hospital Katra.
A 72-year-old woman from Durga Nagar in Jammu and 75-year-old from Kulhand Doda died of virus in the GMC Jammu and Doda respectively. They had no co-morbidity.
In Jammu district, three Corona positive cases each were reported from Bhagatpur Sari Rakawalan, Muthi Barnai and Patta Bohri Chowk, two each from City Chowk Raghunath Bazaar and Tehsildar Bahu office and one each from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jewel Chowk, Parade, Chowk Chabutra, Shahidhi Chowk and Domana.
Six positive cases were reported from Akhnoor, three each from Bishnah and RS Pura, two each from Chowki Choura, Marh and Sohanjana and one each from Jagti and Dansal.
Meanwhile, four persons died in Kashmir today. Those who died include two from Srinagar and one from Shopian district.
One among the victims from Srinagar was a 70-year-old man from Eidgah Srinagar who died at SKIMS Soura today.
Among 197 Corona positive cases reported from Jammu region, the Jammu district accounted for highest 95 cases followed by 20 Kishtwar, 18 Udhampur, 12 Ramban, 11 Kathua, 10 each Rajouri and Doda and seven each in Samba, Reasi and Poonch districts.
Of 187 persons, who recovered from the virus, 100 hailed from Jammu, 40 Ramban, 16 Doda, 12 Udhampur, 10 Kathua, six Rajouri and three in Poonch district. No recoveries were today reported from Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi districts.
Jammu region now has 40272 Corona cases. Of them, 1594 were active positives while 38147 have recovered from the virus. There have been 531 Corona casualties in the region.
Among the casualties, Jammu district has 276 followed by Doda 50, Rajouri 48, Udhampur 35, Kathua 33, Samba 25, Poonch 22, Ramban 18, Kishtwar 16 and Reasi 8.
Three Corona casualties have been reported from Leh disrict of Ladakh taking Corona toll to 89 including 49 in Leh and 40 in Kargil district.
In Kashmir, 429 people tested positive today.
Those who tested positive include 157 from Srinagar, 158 Baramulla, 20 Budgam, 10 Pulwama, 23 Kupwara, 13 Anantnag, 12 Bandipora, 27 Ganderbal, 4 Kulgam and 5 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 21,154 positive cases including 389 deaths and 19,226 recoveries are from Srinagar, 6,814 including 155 deaths and 5,913 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,409 including 5,995 recoveries and 95 deaths are from Budgam, 4,832 including 4,622 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,779 including 77 deaths and 4,256 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,406 including 4,105 recoveries and 75 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,216 cases including 3,996 and 48 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,896 including 3,552 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,543 including 2,414 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,273 including 2,149 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Shopian.
Of 101,594 positive cases, 61,322 are from Kashmir. The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,645 including 4,051 from Kashmir division.
With 551 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 94,375, which is 92.89 percent of the total cases.
Out of 2,603,471 the number of samples processed 2,591,877 have tested negative and 101,594 positive. Among them, 5,645 persons are active, 94,375 persons have recovered and 1,574 persons have died.
