RAJOURI, May 22: The district authorities have retrieved 200 kanals of encroached land at village Gundah of Tehsil Khawas of Rajouri district.
Official sources said that a team comprising magistrates, police personnel and officers of the Forest and Revenue Department carried out the anti-encroachment drive at Gundah.
During operation the teams retrieved 200 kanals forest and revenue land at Gundah in tehsil Khawas.
The anti- encroachment drive was conducted on the directions of District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad and it was also decided to retrieve the encroached land across the district.
DDC said that comprehensive mapping of all the encroached land have already been done and Tehsildar have been directed to conduct extensive drives for the retrieval of the State, Kacharai, Govt departments, Forest and Panchayat lands.
