UDHAMPUR, June 7: The police seized 21 bovine animals Tikri area of district Udhampur and arrested two smugglers in this connection today.
Official sources said that Tikri police party during checking at Naka intercepted two bovine smugglers who were carrying 21 bovine animals on- foot with them towards Kashmir without any valid permission from the District Magistrate.
The police seized all the 21 bovine animals and arrested smugglers namely Mohd Rashid, son of Haji Shatoo of Thard, in Udhampur and Bashir Ahmed, son of Roshan Din of Samba.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 74/2020 stand registered with Police Station Rehmbal.
