21 children of Army Goodwill School injured

Srinagar, Apr 6: Twenty-one students from Army Goodwill School were injured in a road mishap in the frontier district of Kupwara this afternoon.
Police said that a mini-bus bearing registration number JK09-1716 was on its way to take students home this afternoon when mishap took place. “As soon as the mini-bus reached near Shiek-Mohalla Thregam, the driver lost control over the vehicle and the bus turned turtle”, police added.
The driver of the bus fled from the accident scene and hunt has been launched to trace him. He has been identified as Prince from village Chokibal in district Kupwara.
There were 27 students inside the mini-bus. Twenty-one students were immediately rushed to nearby Thregam Hospital where from six were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara.
The six students with serious injuries have been identified as Maqsood Aziz, Zahida Skindar, Umar Farooq, Aqib Aziz, Imran Subhan, and Shugufta Akbar. The other injured students who are under observation are: Razia Naseer, Majid Ali, Irfat Ahad, Shabnam Qayoom, Masoom Bashir, Khusboo Wani, Bilal Abdullah, Imtiyaz Abdullah, Aqib Yousuf, Toiba Javid, Labreeza Javid, Showkat Maqbool, Javid Wani, Zamrooda Rashid Mir and Tariq Rashid Mir.
