RAMBAN, Mar 31: On the direction of Deputy Commiss-ioner Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar, an anti-encroachment drive was launched by a revenue team led by Tehsildar Khari, Tanvir-ul-Majid in which 215 kanals of State land was retrieved from the encroachers at village Khari.
The encroachers namely Gafar, Ata Mohad, Ismail, Feroz Din, Abdul, Raheem, Hamid, Mohd Sahif, Gulla, Abdul Samad, Ali Mohd, Mohd Ramzan, Faqira, Abdulla, Almiya, Aziz, Sahfi, Gulam Nabi, Habib, Gufar, Rehman, Aziz, Abdul Rashid, Karim, Nizam Din, Nazir, Rafiq, Ramzan, Ghulam, Baja, Gh Mohd and Saira Begum- all residents of village Khari, had illegally occupied the State land.
While retrieving the land the officials had to face a resistance from the locals but with the established efforts of the team, the process of eviction was completed successfully.
Cautioning the locals, Tehsildar said whole of State land illegally occupied by the locals in the tehsil shall be retrieved besides adding that the anti-encroachment drive will be continued with more intensity and no one will be allowed to encroach even an inch of the State land.
