JAMMU, June 9: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 22 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound vehicle bearing registration number JK02AU-3821.
During checking, police team rescued 22 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Harbans Singh, son of Prithpal Singh of village Chak Mohammad Yaar, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 242/19 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
