22 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

JAMMU, Apr 17: Nagrota police rescued 22 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted two persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, both the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and police arrested them. 22 bovine animals were rescued from the clutches of arrested persons.
The accused were identified as Abdul Rashid, son of Raj Wali and Abdul Gani, son of Nazir Ahmed, both residents of Mazmu Qaziqund.
A case under FIR Number 170/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shokat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma.
