UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: A Lok Adalat was held in District Court Complex under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal District and Sessions Judge.
During the Lok Adalat, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Ashok Kumar Koul, Principal, District and Sessions Judge, Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Additional District and Sessions Judge and Advocate Ishwar Dass Sharma. The second bench comprised of Jitender Singh Jamwal, Amit Sharma, Munsiff and Advocate Bharat Bhushan Sharma.
A total of 40 cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat out of which 8 MACT/ Bank cases and 14 civil/ criminal cases were settled. An amount of Rs 55,000 was given as compensation in MACT/ Bank cases.
