UDHAMPUR, Apr 14: Udhampur Police rescued 23 bovines and seized Truck used for the smuggling besides arresting the accused.
According to the police report, a team of Police Station Majalta, led by SHO Inspector Kesar Singh, intercepted a Truck bearing registration number JK19A-8885 at Battal Naka point.
In the Truck, coming from Samba side towards Udhampur, 23 bovines were loaded without any valid permission.
Police rescued the animals and arrested driver of the Truck, who was identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Manzoor Hussain of Upper Chakkar, Gandala Udhampur. A case FIR Under Section 188/IPC and 11/PCA Act was registered in this connection at Majalta Police Station.
