RAJOURI, June 27: The police seized 23 bovine animals along with a vehicle and arrested two persons for smuggling these cattle to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
Official sources said that Taryath police party seized 15 cattle at naka point near Narla village and arrested one person- namely Mohd Shabir, son of Mohd Bashir of Narla. He was moving to Kashmir and had to load these cattle in a vehicle ahead.
Thanamandi police seized a Tata mobile vehicle No. JK-22/3646 at Naka during morning hours and arrested its driver. He was carrying 8 bovine animals to Kashmir illegally. The cattle were rescued and driver arrested. A case FIR No. 120/ 2019 was registered against him.
