REASI, Nov 9: Acting tough on complaints by public, the district administration Reasi under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Charandeep Singh today placed Naka in different areas of district and seized vehicles which were involved in illegal mining.
Charandeep Singh had consituted team and deputed officers including Tehsildars, SHOs of the concerned areas along with DMO Reasi and others district officers.
During the Naka, 24 vechiles including 9 from Reasi, Katra 4, Pouni 1, Arnas 9 and Mahore 1 have been seized by the Tehsildars in different areas which were loaded with illegaly excavated material from river beds & different streams of district, not having requisit documents viz Form-A, GST bills. The Vehicles which were not allowded for loading and unloading and also who were violating / flouting the orders and are overcharging against the notified rates were also seized.
Singh said that these Nakas will work continuously untill the peoples of District Reasi gets the material on notified rates issued by the district administration. He added that the case has been registered by these teams and the action under norms will be taken against all those violators whoever violates the guidelines issued by JKUT Government .
Deputy Commissioner Charandeep Singh and SSP, Reasi Shalinder Singh personally monitored the exercise.
