’24×7 Emergency’ organizes blood donation camp at Jagti

JAMMU, May 11: A blood donation camp was organized today at Sub Division Hospital (SDH) Jagti near here in which 16 units of blood was donated by the volunteers.
The Camp, organized by newly launched social organization ’24×7 Emergency’ under the supervision of social activist Sunil Pandita and Ashwani Bhat, was inaugurated by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner for Migrants Jammu, Dr Arvind Karwani who graced the occasion as chief guest.
Guests of honour present on the occasion included CMO Kathua Dr Vijay Raina, DC Relief Vijay Kumar Sharma, SDPO Nagrota, SHO Nagrota, social activist Bhushan Parimoo, senior journalist M K Bangroo, A N Sadhu and others.
For this noble cause, the special blood van was provided by the Directorate of Health Services Jammu. During the camp, volunteers among Kashmiri Pandit migrant community donated the blood to the volume of 16 units.
Shobin Bhat donated 55 points of blood, Naveen Bhat 16 points, Akshay Koul 58 points, Ashish Bhat 16 points and Sandeep Pandita 15 points. Others who donated blood include Suraj Raina, Sunny Koul, Ayush Bhat, Arjun Singh, Vikas Bhat, Soni Hangloo, Anmol Tickoo, Nitish Gupta, Nikhil Sharma, Ajay Sohan and Mohd Irfan.
Later on, the Organization conferred awards to volunteers who donated more than 10-15 points of blood.
Chief organizer of the Camp, Sunil Pandita and Ashwani Bhat urged the UT Administration to come up with open hands to support such noble causes which are going to serve the mankind without any criteria of caste, creed, religion or colour.
