POONCH, Jan 31: At least 25 passengers were injured when a bus in which they were travelling turned on its side on Rajouri-Poonch highway near Tota Gali.
The bus bearing registration number JK02BL-54570 turned on one side. All the passengers were safely evacuated by Police, locals and army through window panes of the bus. The police team led by SDPO Mendhar Shezan Bhat reached the spot and evacuated the passengers.
Meanwhile, 155 TA Battalion of Army played great role in saving life of 25 passengers as they evacuated the passengers from the bus by reaching timely as both entry/exit doors of the bus were blocked. After providing Ist-aid at the local health centre all the passengers were sent to their destinations in another vehicles. All of them has sustained minor injuries and were safe, a police official said.
