25 students of CUJ participates in Interstate Youth Exchange Programme

JAMMU, Jan 31: 25 students of Central University of Jammu participated in Interstate Youth Exchange Programme under the banner of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, held in Tamil Nadu.
The “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” was announced by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on 31st October, 2015 on the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu (CUJ), Prof Ashok Aima coordinated well with Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir and Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu, Prof A P Dash to organise Interstate Youth Exchange Programme wherein 25 students of the CUJ participated.
Among the 25 students, Kashish Mahajan, Deepak and Neha Rani from the Udhampur also participated and represented the district and its dogra culture by means of food, language, dance and songs. They also shared the tourist destination of Udhampur along with other areas of Jammu region in view of increasing the tourism in the Jammu and Ladakh region with the students of Tamil Nadu.
The students also interacted with the local people and visited the renowned places to know more about the culture of Tamil Nadu and also participated in the Republic Day celebration. They left for Tamil Nadu on January 16 and reached at Jammu on January 30. They were accompanied by 22 others students and two faculty members from the Central University of Jammu, Dr Ajay Singh and Dr Anju Thapa.
