JAMMU, Dec 14: Traffic Police Jammu City seized 25 vehicles including 20 motorcycles and 5 cars having modified silencers.
As per official spokesman, on the complaints of senior citizens, heart patients and hospital officials that a large number of vehicles with modified silencers are creating noise and nuisance in Jammu city, which affects their health.
Acting over the complaints, a drive was launched by Traffic Police Jammu City under the supervision of Additional SP Traffic Pardeep Singh Gauria, DySP Sunil Singh, DTI Khushwant Singh and SO Traffic Anil Kumar under the overall supervision of SSP Traffic Jammu City Shiv Kumar Sharma and seized 25 vehicles including 20 motorcycles and 5 cars, which were having modified silencers.
SSP Traffic Jammu City Shiv Kumar Sharma asked the people to refrain from using modified silencers. Strict action will be taken against those possessing vehicles with modified silencers, he said and asserted that such drives will continue.
