Srinagar, Oct 6: Government today said that 2594 schools were damaged in September 2014 floods that created havoc across the region.
In a written reply to MLC Saif-ud-Din Bhat, the Education Ministry said that out of 2594 schools, 1908 were partially and 686 fully damaged. “Various steps have been taken to restore these schools by way of make shift arrangements, temporary restoration out of the school/SDRF funds etcetera,” the Government stated.
