UDHAMPUR, May 23: Police foiled three attempts of bovine smuggling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal and rescued 26 bovine animals, besides arresting four smugglers.
Team of Police Post Tikri, led by Incharge Police Post, Sahil Singh Chib, foiled two attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 16 bovines, which were being smuggled to Kashmir. Police arrested three bovine smugglers, who were identified as Farman Ali, son of Hazi Noora, resident of Ganda, Jammu; Ayoub Khan son of Qazi Mohd of Kambal Danga and Aslam Mohd ,son of Bhag Hussain of Hartaryan. In this regard, separate FIRs under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Rehambal.
Another attempt of bovine smuggling was foiled by team of Police Station Rehambal and 10 more bovines were rescued from smuggler Bashir Ahmed, son of Mam Din of Verinag. In this regards, case FIR number 129/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Rehambal.
