POONCH, Oct 14: Twenty six employees of Rural Development and Health Departments have been placed under suspension in Balakote tehsil of district Poonch by the district authorities.
Official sources said that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, SDM Mendhar Mohd Afzal Mirza paid surprise visit to the office of Block Development Officer at Balakote and Primary Health Centre, Dhar Galoon, also falling under Balakote.
The SDM found 15 employees posted in the office of BDO, Balakote absent from duty. He along with Tehsildar and some staff members, paid visit to Primary Health Centre, Dhar Galoon and found 11 Health employees un-authorisedly absent from duty. He recommended the action against these employees to the Deputy Commissioner.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, all these 26 employees have been placed under suspension. The DC also sought explanation from the BMO Mendhar and BDO Balakote regarding this within three days and also directed the concerned DDOs to with hold their salaries till further orders.
Employees found absent in BDO Office Balakote are-Senior Assistant Mohd Bashir, Nishat Anjum and Mohd Hussain -Junior Assistants; Waseem Ahmed, Basharat Hussain-Computer Operators; Mohd Yousuf and Mohd Nazir -Chowkidars; Kouser Akhtar, Kaleem Ahmed, Abdul Zabar, Faizullah and Mohd Hussain- Helpers; Shakeel Ahmed driver and Iftikar Hussain-supervisor.
Eleven employees of PHC Dhar Galoon placed under suspension are- Mohd Sayed-Dental Technician, Abdul Qayoom- Block Health Worker, Mohd Ashraf -Pharmacist, Asif Mehmood Lab Technician, Mohd Shafeen, Nazir Hussain and Shamim Akhtar- Nursing Orderlies; Nasir Ahmed and Faiz Ahmed -drivers, Mohd Riaz -PTS and Manzoor Hussain- Safaiwalla.
