27 bovines rescued, 3 arrested

JAMMU, Apr 19: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 27 cattle and arresting three persons.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Nagrota police station laid a naka near Tanda and intercepted three persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and police arrested them. Police rescued 27 bovine animals, which the accused persons were trying to smuggle to Kashmir valley on foot.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Rafiq and Manzoor Ahmed, both residents of Sidhra and Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Kot Bhalwal.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
