REASI, July 31: Police today foiled two separate attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 28 animals besides arresting three accused persons, here today at Mahore.
A Police team headed by ASI Nazir Ahmed, Incharge PP Dewal laid a naka at Dewal and rescued 21 bovine animals from the possession of Wazir Mohd of village Gota, tehsil Chassana and Mohd Rafiq of Dewal, tehsil Mahore.
The accused persons were carrying these bovine animals without any legal documents. They intended to smuggle these bovine animals towards Kashmir. Both the accused persons have been arrested and in this connection, case FIR No.54/2017 U/S 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
In a similar success by the same Police party, seven bovine animals were rescued from the possession of Bashir Ahmed of village Neoch, tehsil Mahore.
