JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, July 25: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh today didn’t report any COVID casualties but recorded 166 and seven positive cases respectively.
In Kashmir division, 132 persons tested positive for the virus while 34 new cases were reported in Jammu.
Among 34 new cases, nine were recorded in Jammu district, five each in Rajouri, Kishtwar and Reasi, three each in Udhampur and Doda, two Poonch and one each in Samba and Ramban districts. Kathua didn’t report any COVID positive cases today.
As against 34 positives, 79 persons today recovered from the virus in Jammu region.
The region now has 1,21,472 Corona cases. Among them, 483 are active positives while 1,18,851 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2138 casualties.
In the Union Territory of Ladakh, seven new Coronavirus positive cases were recorded today including six in Leh and one in Kargil.
Ladakh’s Corona count now stood at 20296. However, there are only 68 active positives as 20021 persons have been treated and Ladakh has registered 207 fatalities—149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 132 new cases of COVID-19 including 28 Border Security Force personnel.
Those who tested positive include 66 from Srinagar, Baramulla 18, Budgam 9, Pulwama 10, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 9 and Shopian 1. They include 28 BSF men from BSF headquarters in Humhama.
With fresh COVID cases, Srinagar has now 71187 positive cases with 358 active, 69997 recovered, 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23536 positive cases with 66 active, 23188 recovered, 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22844 positive cases with 66 active positive cases, 22573 recovered, 205 deaths; Pulwama has 15145 positive cases with 73 active, 14878 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14037 positive cases, 45 active, 13827 recoveries, 165deaths; Anantnag district has 16308 positive cases with 63 active, 16040 recovered, 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9460 positive cases, with 46 active, 9314 recoveries, 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9856 positive cases with 58 active, 9720 recoveries and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11232 positive cases with 19 active, 11096 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5580 positive cases with 11 active cases, 5511 recoveries and 58 deaths.
